Together you are stronger
Going to couple's therapy can be a very healthy process in a relationship. It helps each party to better understand the other and the needs that they have.
See's a therapist doesn't necessarily mean there's a problem in the relationship, and many couple's will see a therapist to further explore each other's identity.
Most commonly, couple's therapy takes place with both the partner's present. This may not be the case for every session, but to make the most out of the experience, it's recommended.
The process of couple's therapy may be to improve communication patterns, work through relationship challenges and develop healthier ways of relating to each other. This may relate to a specific challenge, or a more general pattern of difficulties.
Your clinician will always be unbiased and support both parties throughout the process, ensuring that each individual is listened to, respected, and receives the best evidence based advice.
