About Ashley Campbell
Ashley is an energetic and practical Psychologist that specialises in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to support children, adolescents and adults.
Ashley has been fascinated by the human mind and how it works since his early teenage years. His interest in understanding the mind and behaviour has only been enhanced through studying Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, enabling him to piece together and understand the intricicies of each and every individual. The course equipped Ashley with the abilities to work with children and adults using CBT based interventions such as Behavioural Activation, Cognitive Restructuring or Worry Management in order to improve the clients overall well-being and get them back on track. Ashley has applied these skills using a collaborative, warm and client centered approach, which over the years has yielding very positive outcomes for his clients, across a range of mental health concerns.
Over the years Ashley has built extensive knowledge and practical experience in the area of CBT through working with the National Health Service (NHS) in England and through primary services. It has equipped Ashley with the tools and techniques to work with a range of mental health conditions optimally and efficiently, always putting the client first and applying strategies that best suit the client, all whilst acknowledging individual traits and behaviours. The aim of CBT is to understand how our thoughts, feelings, behaviours and physical symptoms are interlinked and then to provide a tailored, evidence based, practical problem solving and solutions based approach, at a pace that suits his clients.
Ashley worked as a Child Well-being Practitioner (CWP) at Living Well Consortium in England, applying structured and semi-structured CBT alongside his enthusiastic and vibrant demeanour, which he considers to be one of his best characteristics in relationship building. This experience endeared him to children and young people, developing a passion to support youth communities, and treat those struggling from a young age so as adults, they have the skills to be able to manage the challenges that life throw at us.
Ashley increased his knowledge further and gained more experience by working as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist for Adults with NHS England. Ashley delivered specialist psychotherapeutic care and support for a range of mental health conditions and clinical presentations. Ashley enhanced his clinical expertise to formulate, implement and evaluate evidence-based therapy programmes for clients from different cultural backgrounds, becoming more versatile as a person and more competent as a clinician. During that time, Ashley supervised CBT practitioners within NHS England, overseeing their clinical cases, entrusted to provide and guide the most effective and evidence based interventions.
It is Ashley’s passion to diversify his experience that has led him to Dubai; always being focused on developing his skillset, knowledge and expertise. His desire for personal and professional growth, whilst offering treatment to the highest standard, will be a welcome addition to the UAE community. He will do so whilst always having the best interests of each client at heart.
