About Mark Swaine
Mark is a Psychologist specialising in the support of children, adolescents, and adults through a warm, collaborative, and client-centred approach, through an integrative lens of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). His practice is rooted in the belief that people thrive when they feel seen, heard, and understood, and he works closely with individuals to help them gain clarity, confidence, and tools to support their mental wellbeing.
With a Master’s degree in Positive Psychology & Coaching Psychology, Mark integrates evidence-based therapeutic techniques with a strengths-focused philosophy. He draws from a wide range of approaches, including mindfulness-based interventions, emotional regulation strategies, and performance psychology, tailoring each session to the needs, preferences, and goals of the client.
Over the past 10+ years, Mark has worked internationally across primary and secondary school settings, supporting children and adolescents aged 5–18 across Europe, the United States and the Middle East. His work has included individual therapy, whole-school wellbeing program design, parent coaching, and staff training. He has also worked extensively with professionals and athletes, supporting issues such as stress, burnout, self-esteem, and performance anxiety.
Mark also specialises in supporting students with challenging behaviours and has delivered extensive staff training on behaviour management and positive behaviour strategies, drawing from over a decade of experience leading pastoral programs in international school settings.
Mark is passionate about creating a safe and empathetic space where individuals feel empowered to explore their challenges and make meaningful changes. His approach is person-first, holistic, and grounded in empathy — with a focus on helping clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and wellbeing in all aspects of life.
He is a licensed Psychologist with the Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai and as an EMCC Global EIA Senior Practitioner Coach. He also holds additional training in Mental Health First Aid, Sport and Performance Psychology, Applied Mindfulness, and Safeguarding.
