About Caleb Questel
Caleb is a CDA Licensed Social Worker with over 15 years of experience providing evidence based interventions (CBT) to children, adolescents, and families across community, educational, and mental health settings in both the UK and UAE.
After establishing and leading a UK government-funded Community Interest Company focused on youth social development and community-based mentoring, Caleb completed a Master’s degree in Social Work with a specialist focus on Mental Health Social Work utilizing talking therapies. His experience includes working within multidisciplinary community mental health teams and psychiatric hospital settings, supporting adults, children, and families experiencing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges.
Over the past three years in the UAE, Caleb has worked within premium international schools, providing individual counselling and therapeutic support to children and adolescents while collaborating closely with parents, teachers, and school leadership teams to promote positive mental health and wellbeing. He has also led and contributed to school-wide wellbeing initiatives, helping create supportive environments where young people can thrive.
Known for his warm and ‘down-to-earth’ approach, Caleb has a unique skill in quickly being able toform a ‘therapeutic connection’ with those he works with. He sees the development of this therapeutic relationship as the ‘cornerstone’ of embarking on a successful and outcome-focused therapeutic journey.
These experiences have allowed him to have a clearly defined skill set in supporting individuals with anxiety, low mood, emotional regulation difficulties and academic/work-related stress, which can present as challenges in motivation and engagement, self-esteem, and social relationships. He is also aware of the unique experiences of Third Culture Kids growing up between different cultures and identities.
His approach combines evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), with a warm, engaging, and highly relatable style that helps all individuals feel understood and comfortable. Caleb is passionate about promoting personal, long-lasting development and supports this by providing guidance and strategies that can be taken beyond the therapeuticsetting, all combined in a personalized support plan. He sees this as pivotal in empowering young people and adults to develop resilience, confidence, and practical skills that support long-term wellbeing.
Caleb always endeavors to work collaboratively with both the individual, their families or significant others to help them navigate challenges, strengthen emotional wellbeing, and reach their full potential.
